BAPTISM
We believe that baptism is an act of obedience, commanded by Christ, where a Christian is immersed in water before their church community. This act signifies both their relationship with Christ, through faith and repentance, and their unity with the church. This stance on baptism is called believer’s baptism, and so, we do not practice infant baptism, since baptism reflects an individual’s relationship with Christ. We also do not believe that baptism saves, since baptism only symbolizes our salvation by grace through faith in what God has accomplished through Jesus’ death and resurrection.
