- Psalm 115:8 tells us we become like the God we worship.
- Speaking of those who worship idols, the psalmist says, “Those who make
them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.”

- The Lord reigns.
- He is the King over all kings.
- He is sovereign over everything in heaven and on earth.

- The Ark of the Covenant was a symbol of God’s Kingship.

- We are to fear and honor him.

- He is awesome in his holiness.

- God makes the rules and he enforces the rules.
- That would be terrible if God were cruel and unjust.
- But our King is mighty.
- He loves justice.
- He established equity (fairness).

- The fact that God is mighty should comfort us because it means that evil
will not continue in this world as it is today.

- God is merciful in revealing himself to us.
- God spoke to his people through
- Moses, the Lawgiver
- Aaron, the priest
- Samuel, the prophet
- Jesus, the Son.

- He leads us and guides us – by his Word and his Holy
Spirit.

- He calls us to be holy just like him.
- “But just as he who calls you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it
